Jessica Perlman, COO

Jessica has been with the Impact Social team since it’s start in 2008.  Corey and Jessica met on an internship in college with General Motors and the rest is history.  Jessica graduated from University of Evansville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and minor in Business Administration.  She has worked in the roles of project manager, pottery studio business owner and now manages human relations for the Impact Social team.

During her free time Jessica enjoys being active and spending quality time with her husband Corey and their two kids Talia and Milo.  The best part of Impact Social is the people behind the brand.  She’s excited to be part of a team of hard working individuals whose goal is to help out business owners and make an impact in the digital marketing world.

Jodi Alcock, Vice President

Jodi Alcock came to join the Impact Social team with over 7 years of experience in social media. Prior to working with Impact Social, Jodi spent 12 years as an I.T. specialist for a large oral surgery firm, dabbling in social media as its popularity grew. Only after attending an Impact Social event and reading Corey’s book, eBootcamp, did social media become a passion of hers. Jodi continuously sought education on Social Media, attending an Impact Social 2-day intensive seminar and later attending the prestigious, invitation-only Mashable Connect 2011 conference.

Jodi started her education by completing a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Michigan – Flint before earning a Master of Science Degree in Marketing Management from Walsh College of Business and Accountancy in 2002. Jodi has since furthered her education, taking classes in photography and web design.

In her free time, Jodi enjoys spending time with her husband of 8 years, Dennis and their 3 nieces and 1 nephew. She and her husband enjoy playing golf, cooking together and learning about pairing food and wine. Her other passions are reading, baking and photography. Jodi is thrilled to have joined the Impact Social team and looks forward to learning new ways to help their clients grow every day.

Carla Sprague, Digital Marketing Specialist

Carla Sprague got her start in the marketing world as an intern at an agency out of college. She quickly developed a real passion for social media, and joined the Impact Social team with 5 years of experience. She loves being able to work closely with our clients to grow their business and reach goals through social media and email marketing. Carla enjoys being a part of an industry that is continually growing and evolving, and is enthusiastic about being able to learn something new everyday. She is quite thankful to work with such an awesome Impact Social team.

Carla received her degree in Media Management and Economics from the University of Miami, and is a recent graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course!

In her free time, Carla enjoys traveling, spending time with Luke the Puppy, and is passionate about Miami Hurricane athletics.

Lauren Hedges, Media Production Specialist

Lauren Hedges is a media creator from Windsor, Ontario, specializing in photography and audio production. With experience in radio, film, print journalism, podcasts, and television. She brings ten years of media production experience to the Impact Social Team, and is excited to put her creativity to use.

Lauren has a bachelor’s degree in digital journalism and communications, media, and film from The University of Windsor, and a diploma in audio engineering from The Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology. She is always furthering her education through online learning to stay up-do-date with the latest marketing tools and trends.
In her free time, Lauren runs a small photography business in South-Western Ontario, specializing in live music and portraiture. She also enjoys staying active with her chihuahua, Trevor.

Jess Nicklos, Digital Marketing Specialist

Jess Nicklos has been with the Impact Social team since 2012 after spending years in the marketing, communications, and public relations fields. She was hired by Corey after another job fell through and has been part of this amazing team ever since! Jess counts her team members as some of her greatest friends, and loves the ability to work with clients to connect and grow their businesses.

Jess has a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication from Duquesne University and has held past internships and job positions in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, social media, event planning, and digital marketing.

In her free time, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband Chad, two dogs Vida and Daisy, planning events, home decor, networking, volunteering, singing, going to the beach, and enjoying life in Florida.

Eric Brown, Impact Social Presenter and Strategist

Eric Brown Brown’s background is rooted in the rental and real estate industries. He founded metro Detroit’s Urbane Apartments seven years ago, after serving as senior vice president at Village Green Companies, a major Midwest apartment developer. He established a proven track record of effectively repositioning existing rental properties in a way that added value for investors while enhancing the resident experience.

With his apartment company, he dared to abandon traditional marketing efforts and instead established a strong online presence. He created sites for Urbane Apartments on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr. Brown established the Urbane Lobby, a social network where residents could share photographs and videos and socialize. UrbaneLife online magazine took that idea one step further, targeting a specific demographic by providing fresh online content daily.

Brown’s social media marketing strategy and fearless approach to business has garnered national media attention and feature stories in Entrepreneur, Business Week, Builder, BizNet and Multifamily Executive. Mary Hickman Kruszewski, Impact Social Certified Instructor

Mary Hickman Kruszewski Mary Hickman Kruszewski is an Impact Social workshop educator, owner of MHK Marketing Group and co-founder of Mom Grow Your Business. Her clients have ranged from small entrepreneurs to international companies. She has extensive experience in creating and executing customized marketing plans which include a blend of traditional marketing tactics and savvy web-based solutions. Prior to her 2006 move to business consulting, Mary held several corporate marketing leadership positions including a start-up that now boasts over $50 million in annualized revenue. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA).

Mary joined the Impact Social team to share her expertise and passion with a larger audience. “Working one-on-one with a client is great – but working with groups is extremely rewarding,” says Mary. “It’s a terrific feeling when you can empower others to take their on-line presence to the next level,” she adds.

In her spare time this busy wife and mother of two girls enjoys renovating her 1922 home, yoga, walking her yellow lab, volunteering at her daughters’ school,and inspiring others to succeed in business.

Jim Vogel, Blogger

As an adjunct lecturer at both the University of Michigan and at the University of Phoenix, he taught Organizational Communication, Business Communication classes, and conducted a variety of student writing workshops. Jim has an AS degree in Mathematics (Science), a BA in Business Psychology from the University of Michigan, and holds a MA in Organizational Communication from Eastern Michigan University.

His blend of writing for multiple organizations in a succinct and conversational style has made him a successful professional blogger and a highly competent social media content strategist. With over 250 blogs published within Web2.0, his skill to help organizations with their e-message has given his business IMU Social Media (A Division of VTR Consulting LLC) the opportunity to help an eclectic array of businesses and organizations gain credible presence with blogs, articles, editorials, posts, and tweets.Originally from Detroit, Jim is a huge Detroit Tiger fan and an avid proponent of the Motor City. Jim is an Ambassador for the Apex Chamber of Commerce and he sits on the Board of Directors with the Kiwanis Club of Apex. Tess C. Taylor, owner of Taylor Resources Writing, is a Web Copy Writer, Project Manager & Social Media Manager from Charleston, South Carolina. Liz Scavnicky-Yaekle, Blogger

Liz Scavnicky-Yaekle is a former Dale Carnegie corporate trainer who lives in the Detroit area. She has over fifteen years of business development, interactive marketing and project management experience. Liz has served myriad clients not limited to Dell, Discover, General Mills, General Motors, GMAC Financial Services, Microsoft, Target, UPS Store, Visa and Yahoo!

Liz earned her MBA in International Business from the University of Michigan in 2002. Kristina Schneider, Blogger

Kristina Schneider resides in Los Angeles, California. She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and currently works full-time as an Executive Assistant at estate planning law firm, Kavesh, Minor & Otis, Inc. In addition to daily administrative tasks, she also assists the firm in marketing and other business ventures working with various estate and financial planning professionals throughout the country. Kristina has always had a love for writing and when given the opportunity to blog, it was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up. Susan Dooley is a certified Dale Carnegie Trainer working in partnership with the Ralph Nichols Group in Novi. Since joining Dale Carnegie in 2000, she has helped 3000 individuals in Metro Detroit develop stronger selling skills and differentiation in the marketplace. Kari Yasi, Blogger

Kari Yasi comes to Impact Social with over 10 years of social media experience. With a background comprised of corporate marketing as well as entrepreneurial success as a digital marketing consultant with past clients such as Fortune 100 financial institutions, nonprofits, and small businesses, Kari brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to our clients.

With her natural skills in strategic planning, research and training, Kari has been able to help clients with projects such as successfully launching a re-branding, diversifying revenue streams, increasing social engagement, setting up appropriate systems, and overall social media planning.

Kari is now a mom with a passion for health and wellness.
